We caught up with Shari to chat about her journey so far, the products she couldn’t be without, what she’s working towards next and what being part of The Nail Tech Org community means to her.

Tell us a little bit about you!
I’m Shari, a 41-year-old single mum to two amazing teenagers, my daughter ThalÃa and my son Eneas. We’re a little family of three, and they’re both very different but equally amazing.
I’m born and raised in Belgium, but I’ve always felt drawn to the UK, especially London, and I love travelling there whenever I can.
Outside of nails, I love going for walks, reading, spending time with the people I love and having some time for myself. I’m someone who gets excited by the little things in life — good food, music, cosy evenings, discovering new places and all those little things that can make an ordinary day feel special.
How did you get into nails?
I started my journey with nails when I was around 19, but life had other plans and my journey took me in a completely different direction.
Years later, after my divorce, I started thinking about what I really wanted to do with my life. I found myself coming back to nails, and in 2023, I finally decided to give that dream a chance.
How did you find The Nail Tech Org?
After completing my nail training, I was looking for something more — a place where I could continue learning, grow as a nail technician and have some guidance beyond getting my qualification.
While searching online, I came across The Nail Tech Org. I remember finding the website when the doors were closed, but I could leave my details to be notified when membership opened again.
When that notification came, I signed up straight away. I’ve been a member since January 2025.
What’s your fave thing about The Nail Tech Org?
Without a doubt, it’s the people. The education is amazing, but for me, it’s the feeling of belonging that makes The Nail Tech Org so special.
The support, encouragement, love and energy from the community are incredible.
I’ve met some truly amazing people through NTO,  people I would never have crossed paths with otherwise.
For me, it’s more than a community, it feels like a family, and that’s what I value most.
What’s your favourite course you’ve done with us?
I’ve completed the The Expert Experience and The Builder Gel Breakthrough courses, and I’m currently doing The Educators Programme.
They’ve all been amazing, but I would probably say the Expert Experience is my favourite because it gave me so much insight and, most importantly, made me love learning again.
What are your favourite kind of nails to do?
Definitely natural nails. I love working with the natural nail, taking care of it and helping improve its health and appearance.
I’m not really a nail art person, so I much prefer creating beautiful, healthy nails with a simple, polished finish.
Tell us about a holy grail product in your kit.
I don’t really have one particular holy grail product, but I am a big fan of Nails of the Day products and always enjoy using them.
Who is your dream client?
My dream client is someone who loves taking a little time for herself.
Someone who isn’t in a rush, enjoys a chat and a laugh, loves beautiful nails and simply wants to relax and enjoy a little bit of me-time.
I don’t like to rush appointments, so I love clients who appreciate taking their time and enjoying the experience.
Do you have any future plans? Let us know!
I’m currently completing the NTO Educator Course, so becoming an educator is definitely one of my next goals.
I’d also love to become fully booked as a nail technician and continue growing my business. And in the next few years, I’d love to make the move to the UK.
There’s a big difference in the beauty industry there, and something about it feels much more aligned with me and where I see myself going.
