Hey Lisa, from @lisanailpower!

Tell us a little bit about you!

I’m a nail technician with 41 years of experience, which means I’ve been pampering nails since before some of you were even born!

My passion for nails has been my sole career, and I’ve enjoyed every moment of it.

When I’m not trying to perfect the latest nail art trends, you can find me indulging in my other hobbies like playing tennis, cooking up a storm in the kitchen, or occasionally enjoying an Aperol spritz or two with friends and family!

How did you get into nails?

My journey into the world of nails began when I was 14 years old.

I borrowed (okay, “borrowed permanently”) my Mum’s nail polish collection, and from there, I was hooked.

What started as a hobby quickly turned into a career.

Back then, I had no idea that my teenage rebellion would lead to a lifelong passion and a full time career.

What’s your fave thing about The Nail Tech Org?

The Nail Tech Org is like a family reunion, but instead of awkward small talk, we bond over our shared love for nails.

The community is so supportive, and I love how we all inspire each other to keep pushing the boundaries of creativity.

Plus, the Monday morning zooms are so motivational.

They really inspire you for whole week and I love how I can even attend in my pyjamas with a cup of tea!

What’s your favourite course you’ve done with us?

It’s hard to pick just one, but if I had to choose, it would be some of the more Advanced Nail Artistry courses. They are like master class magic for nails!

After completing a few, I remember the look on my clients’ faces when I unveiled some of my new skills.

Let’s just say, my appointments booked up with added nail art pretty quickly after that.

What are your favourite kind of nails to do?

I absolutely adore doing intricate nail art designs.

There’s something so satisfying about turning a tiny canvas into a mini masterpiece.

Whether it’s floral patterns, abstract art, or seasonal themes, I love the challenge and creativity involved.

Tell us about a holy grail product in your kit.

My holy grail product has to be my trusty cuticle oil.

It’s the unsung hero of my kit, keeping nails and cuticles healthy and hydrated.

Plus, I use the Lucy Pastorelli one and it smells amazing!

I always tell my clients, “A little cuticle oil a day keeps the hangnails away!”

Who is your dream client?

I’d love to give a manicure to Dua Lipa.

She’s a phenomenal singer with a killer sense of style and a knack for setting trends.

I think she’d be up for some vibrant and edgy nail designs, perhaps inspired by her music videos or album covers.

Plus, with her infectious energy and passion for creativity, it would be an incredibly fun and inspiring appointment!
