Meet Our Member of the Month: @gloss.bylauren

The Nail Tech Org wouldn’t be what it is without its incredible members, and this March–we’re shining the spotlight on Lauren from @gloss.bylauren as our Member of the Month!

From her journey in the nail industry to her holy-grail products, goals for the year ahead, and what being part of NTO means to her—scroll to get to know her a little better…

Tell us a little bit about you!

Hi, I’m Lauren!

I’m 25 and have recently moved into my first home with my boyfriend.

I currently work full time in marketing and am a nail tech in the evenings and Saturdays. I

love a cafe date and a long walk on a weekend with my boyfriend but also spending quality time with my gorgeous friends and family. 

How did you get into nails?

I have always loved getting my nails done. I was always an acrylic girlie (don’t hate me), but at the end of 2021 I decided I wanted to switch to BIAB. I also really wanted to find a nail tech who I’d be able to go back to again and again, to create that relationship.

When I changed to BIAB I’d always watch what my nail tech did and thought ‘gosh I’d love to do this one day’.

So… in October 2024 I trained in BIAB, gel polish and e-file–and that’s where my journey officially began!

How did you find The Nail Tech Org?

I found NTO from following other nail techs who are members and I just loved the idea of being a member.

I joined one of Amy’s free masterclasses in January 2025 and from there I was sold! 

What’s your fave thing about The Nail Tech Org?

My favourite thing is how you feel a huge sense of community. Everything is just so informative and so key to help every member in their journey.

With only joining NTO in October last year and working full time, I’m still getting through the business programme, but I just cannot believe how much it has helped me gain more knowledge on how I want my business to run.

What are your favourite kind of nails to do?

My favourite nail set to do has to be a classic French or a minimal design.

Don’t get me wrong I love creating a nail art heavy set but nothing beats a clean, classic French set. 

Tell us about a holy grail product in your kit.

Oooo so tool wise I LOVE The Nail Lab’s ‘The Sofia’ tool, it’s a dual-ended mani prep tool. It’s been a life saviour in my prep routine!

Gel-wise I’d have to say ‘Dolly’ BIAB by The Gel Bottle, it’s not only my favourite but also a client favourite!

Who is your dream client?

Oh gosh, I think as I love a clean and classy nail look my dream client has to be Sydney Sweeney or Michelle Keegan! 

Do you have any future plans? Let us know!

So with only just moving into our first home, I think in the next year or so I’d love to have my own little salon in the garden, in preparation for eventually going full time!
