Hey Rachel, from @rachelcoast_!

Tell us a little bit about you!

Hi, I’m Rach and I’m from North London!

I’ve had a few different jobs since I left school.

I’ve worked in a bank, a pub, been a PA and was a nanny for 10 years, but I’ve found my true passion in nails.

How did you get into nails?

I remember using my pocket money to buy blue sparkly nail varnish from the market and then sneaking it into primary school to show my friends.

Then, as a teenager me and my friends would use our free period at school to go and get a full set of acrylics with the spray on French tip! 

In 2020 I lost my nanny and PA job due to covid and started making press ons for myself and sending them to my friends.

Very quickly – I realised I LOVED doing nail art and loved the idea of working for myself so started a press on business.

Then a couple of years later I decided I wanted to train as a nail tech and do real life nails because as much as I loved doing the press ons and was very grateful for the customers – I felt I was missing the conversation.

What’s your fave thing about The Nail Tech Org?

The support! It has been shown to me in so many ways continuously since the day I joined. 

Honestly the kindness and support I’ve received from Amy, Suzanne, Leanne, Chloe and more members than I can list has helped me so much!

It’s such an amazing community/family and everyone is there for each other. 

What’s your favourite course you’ve done with us?

For me it’s the pricing processor.

This course changed the game for me and 100s of other nail techs.

The amount of work that went into this course to help us calculate our prices correctly to earn a fair wage and the guidance on how to communicate it with our clients was amazing. 

I’ve got my eye on other courses I would love to do one day but first stop is the Crete retreat!

I am SO excited to spend a week with Amy, Sneha and a group of like minded nail techs. 

What are your favourite kind of nails to do?

This one’s hard because it depends on my mood haha but I love nothing more than a fresh clean builder gel mani with a little bit of minimal nail art to give it something extra.

Also stars will always have my heart! I just love painting them. 

Tell us about a holy grail product in your kit.

This one has to be Glossify’s Naturabuild in the shade Nude.

I think if I had the cheek to turn up to work one day without it my clients would have a meltdown! 

Who is your dream client?

You know what, I would love to do Hailey Biebers nails.

Her manicures are always iconic and she’s always switching up her style.

Who do I speak to about doing her baby shower nails?!
