Let us introduce you to our member of the month for April 2025…
Hey Jade!
Tell us a little bit about you!
I’m Jade, 29 years old, and I’m a home-based nail technician in Whitefield (Manchester).
How did you get into nails?
I first began my career as a make-up artist in 2018 and loved every second of it.
However, when the COVID lockdowns came, everything changed.
I realised I wouldn’t be as busy once things returned to normal, so I trained to do lashes.
But, I never really fell in love with it.
I missed being creative and having the freedom to experiment. While celebrating Christmas in Krakow, I decided to enrol on a nail course.
By the end of January 2023, I was a fully qualified nail technician, and instantly fell in love with it. I’ve been nail-obsessed ever since!
What’s your fave thing about The Nail Tech Org?
My favourite thing about NTO is how much the subscription offers, it literally covers everything, and I mean everything!
From setting up your business and focusing on your wellbeing, to every nail tutorial you could think of.
I love the sense of community within NTO. Working on your own can be tough without anyone to liaise with, but being part of NTO solves that.
There’s always someone there to help, support, and lift you up.
Being a part of NTO has given me so much more confidence, both in my business and as a person.
What’s your favourite course you’ve done with us?
I think my favourite courses with NTO have to be either the Expert Experience or the Pricing Masterclass.
Both are game-changers.
The knowledge I gained from the Expert Experience was incredible, and it really helped me excel.
My clients are always impressed when I can explain things like what causes heat spikes or why certain reactions occur.
Before the Pricing Masterclass, I simply looked at what others in my area were charging and followed suit. I never really felt confident discussing prices with clients, because I didn’t know why I was charging what I was, or if it was correct.
Now, I understand how I arrived at my prices and why they are fair. I’m no longer afraid to turn away clients who don’t want to pay my prices because I know my worth and value, thanks to NTO.
What are your favourite kind of nails to do?
It’s hard to pick a favourite style of nails, as I’m genuinely obsessed with them all, but I think it would have to be French.
I know I probably sound crazy, as we all cringe a little when clients say, “I’ll just have something nice and easy… a French,” but I love how clean and fresh they always look.
Right now, I’m obsessed with a classic white-tip French manicure with a blooming flower for a pop of colour.
Tell us about a holy grail product in your kit.
My holy grail product in my kit would have to be my Navy cuticle balm. It’s so soft and hydrating without being greasy, and it smells absolutely unreal!
Who is your dream client?
If I could give a manicure to anyone, my dream client would be Francesca Amber.
I love listening to her podcasts, and I know we’d have the best time laughing and chatting together.
If you could sum up The Nail Tech Org in just 3 words, what would they be?
If I had to sum up NTO in three words, they would be: LIFE-CHANGING (I’m taking that as one word!), COMMUNITY and GROWTH.
