Let us introduce you to our member of the month for March 2025…

Hey Jaime!

Tell us a little bit about you!

I’m Jaime and I’m a 25 year old natural nail manicurist from Leicester.

I work from my spare bedroom at home that I’ve made in to mine and many other women’s safe space.

It’s a no judgement zone where everyone can turn up wearing whatever they want even if it’s their PJs.

My clients and I have laughed together, cried together and just created some beautiful nail sets.

I’m so grateful that I’ve created something that suits my life, but also a place that can be a safe space for women who I enjoy spending my time with. 

How did you get into nails?

I was actually at university studying education and aiming to become a teacher when I started doing my own nails with one of the nail kits from Amazon… I know every nail techs worst nightmare.

I ended up ruining my nails so decided to look for a nail course to help me learn how to do my own nails safely and so they’d last.

I ended up loving the nail course I did and was forcing everyone to let me do their nails.

My boyfriend nearly went to the gym with bright pink nails as I “didn’t know how to soak them off yet” ooops.

This is where my love for nails began and I became a mobile nail tech and started to gain my clients.

What’s your fave thing about The Nail Tech Org?

There are so many things that I love about The Nail Tech Org but my 2 favourite things are…

The events. Being self employed and working alone I sometimes forget that this is my job and I just feel like I’m doing it for fun. When I go to all of NTOs events, I meet up with everyone and we chat about our businesses, learn new things and we have a community of nail techs. It reminds me that this is my business and I have so many people I can now turn to that I’ve met at these events.

And secondly, the constant training. Every week there’s a zoom call where we can help with things we’re struggling with, extra training, nail tutorials and business training. I feel like I’m always up to date with new trends and I’m constantly learning how to run my business better.

What’s your favourite course you’ve done with us?

My favourite course has got to be the educator course.

I love it so much. I enjoyed doing the course in my own time but having a monthly zoom call to go over everything and learn our new modules, whilst having the support from my tutor and everyone else from my course.

It helped me grow in confidence as a nail tech but now also as an educator who is in the process of creating her own courses

What are your favourite kind of nails to do?

I love doing builder gel with nail art.

The perfect base of the builder gel is just a dream to paint on, don’t get me wrong, nothing crazy but a little nail art to add a little something extra.

Maybe with a cheeky french tip in the mix of it too. 

Tell us about a holy grail product in your kit.

It has got to be my E-File, I couldn’t live without it.

I recently upgraded to the Lucy Pastorelli e-file and it had really helped to reduce my times and reduce back pain compared to hand filing. 

Who is your dream client?

Hailey Bieber! The sets that she has in the summer are just unreal. She knows the vibe!
