The Best Halloween Nail Designs for 2026

Spooky season is back, and if your camera roll isn’t already filling up with Halloween nail inspo, it probably will be soon…

October is basically an excuse to have a little more fun with nail art.

The clients who usually keep things simple suddenly want tiny ghosts, everything gets a bit darker and, for a few weeks, putting fake blood on a manicure is completely reasonable.

So, whether you’re looking for ideas for your clients or deciding what’s going on your own nails, we’ve rounded up some of our favourite Halloween nail designs for 2026.

There’s everything from subtle sets you could wear well beyond October to chrome, cat eye, 3D details and properly spooky nail art.

Want to try something new this year? You’ll find even more nail art inspo and step-by-step tutorials inside The Nail Tech Org Members Club.

Time to see what’s making the Halloween moodboard this year…

3D Halloween nails

Halloween is NOT the time to play it safe. Raised blood drips, creepy eyeballs, spiders, charms… if it looks like it could crawl off the nail, we want it. 3D Halloween nails are perfect for showing off your skills too, so this is your sign to try something a little extra this October.

Ghost nails

Would it even be Halloween without a tiny ghost somewhere? We don’t think so x Keep them cute and simple over a nude base, give them their own little personalities or throw them into a mismatched set. One of those designs that comes back every single year and, somehow, we’re still very much here for it.

Halloween chrome nails

Chrome is coming with us into spooky season, obviously. Silver, black, deep red, burnt orange… suddenly your summer chrome obsession has had a Halloween makeover. Go full chrome if you want something simple, or use it for little details that catch the light.

Blood drip nails

A classic. A little gruesome. Weirdly cute. Blood drip nails are one of the easiest ways to make a set instantly feel Halloween-y, especially over a sheer nude base. And you don’t have to stick to bright red. Deep cherry, burgundy or chrome drips? Yes please.

Cat eye nails

Honestly, cat eye was practically made for October. Dark, shimmery and a little bit witchy without actually having to paint anything witchy. Deep red, purple, green and black all work SO well here. The hardest part is trying to stop moving your hands around every time the light hits them.

Pumpkin nails

We know, we know. Pumpkins for Halloween. Groundbreaking. But there’s a reason they come back every year. Go tiny and cute, dark and moody or properly detailed if you fancy showing off your hand-painted nail art. Orange is optional, by the way. We don’t make the rules, but we fully support a pink pumpkin.

Halloween French tips

For anyone who wants to participate in Halloween without having a full crime scene on their nails. Swap your usual white French for black, red or orange, then add a tiny web, drip or ghost if you fancy it. Simple, wearable and still very much invited to the Halloween party.

Spider web nails

Spider webs on the ceiling? Absolutely not. Spider webs on our nails? Different story. Keep them super fine and minimal over a nude base, or bring in chrome, glitter and darker shades for something moodier. And if you’re adding the spider too, we respect the commitment.

Cute Halloween nails

If creepy isn’t really your thing, Halloween can still be VERY cute. We’re talking tiny ghosts, happy pumpkins, stars, bows and all the spooky little details without any of the gore. Perfect for clients who want a Halloween set but would rather not look down and see an eyeball staring back at them.

Black Halloween nails

Sometimes a really good black manicure does all the work for you. Glossy, matte, chrome, textured, mixed together… there are SO many ways to make black Halloween nails interesting without painting a single ghost.

Gothic nails

Maybe you don’t want Halloween nails. Maybe you want nails that look like you live in a very expensive haunted house. Deep reds, black lace, metallic details, crosses and dramatic shapes bring all the dark, gothic energy without screaming OCTOBER. Even better, they still work when Halloween is over.

Simple Halloween nails

You do not need ten hand-painted masterpieces to make a set feel spooky. Sometimes one tiny ghost, a little black star or a single blood drip is enough. Simple Halloween nails are ideal for clients who want a nod to the season without committing their entire personality to it for the next three weeks.

Red Halloween nails

Red nails already have a bit of drama about them, so Halloween is where they really come into their own. Go deep cherry, glossy blood red or add drips, chrome and darker details. Spooky enough for October, but not so Halloween that you’ll be desperate to remove them at 12:01am on November 1st.

Halloween aura nails

Aura nails aren’t going anywhere just yet, they’re simply getting moodier. Black fading into red, purple into orange, acid green against a darker base… SO many good combinations.
