2026 Nail Trends You’ll Be Seeing Everywhere

If you’re in the industry, you already know that trends don’t appear out of nowhere…

They build quietly, show up in the salon, and then suddenly everyone wants them.

For 2026, nails are already making their move, and these are the designs clients will be booking for before they even know the names.

Creative, playful and trend-forward, here’s what’s leading the way in 2026…

Stripes Are Staying (Think Sweater Energy)

Stripes had a quiet moment around Christmas 2025 and are now fully stepping into 2026. There are two ways we’re seeing them show up: clean, graphic lines worked into a French tip, or softer, blended stripes that feel fuzzy and textured — very sweater-inspired. Same trend, two moods, and both are already proving verryyyyy popular.

Soft White: Pantone Colour of the Year 2026

Pantone’s official Colour of the Year for 2026 is Cloud Dancer, a ‘billowy, balanced shade of soft white that’s meant to bring a sense of calm and clarity in a busy world’.

Translating to a warm-ish soft vanilla white, it’s the perfect expensive neutral that works on literally everyone. Not stark white, not bland beige, the perfect middle ground.

Tucked French Tips

Let’s be honest, French tips never actually went anywhere. They just keep changing outfits. The soft or tucked French is 2026’s version. It’s got softer edges and it’s waaaaaay more wearable.

Instead of a sharp white tip, we’re seeing sheer milky tips that melt into the base. The tucked part is all about placement: slightly lower, curved, and blended underneath your base colour so it feels intentional rather than obvious.

Polka Dots Aren’t Going Anywhere

Polka dots came in during 2025 and, like any good trend, decided to stay. They’re playful, nostalgic, and surprisingly versatile. Tiny dots for minimal sets, bold contrast dots for statement nails, or mixed with other designs for something more editorial.

Maximalism: More Is More

Minimal had her moment. 2026 is about intentional extra. Think 3D elements, gems, texture, layers — but done cleverly. It’s not about throwing everything on one nail, it’s about balance, placement, and design that feels thought-out.
