The Nail Tech org journey

The Nail Tech org. was established in 2020 by Liverpool based nail technician Amy Guy, who following 8 years experience in the nail industry felt there was a huge opportunity to pull together and inspire nail technicians worldwide through a community based, supportive online platform. The foundations of The Nail Tech Org are built on true comradeship; a safe online space for nail technicians to grow and learn together, regardless of their location, age, experience level or circumstances.

With affordable nail & nail art tutorials, an online community forum to connect and build relationships, ongoing business support, live group zoom classes and tutorials, guest artists, blog pages, product reviews, business growth 1-1 sessions and much more, The Nail Tech org. is designed to provide a social and working environment that could only encourage growth and success in any nail technicians business.

Amy has always strongly believed that the job of a nail technician was so much more than just ‘doing nails’ and the reality of this really hit home during the UK lockdown period. Nobody could have imagined a time where their livelihood would be snatched from them and simply doing the job they loved was deemed ‘unsafe’ to the public. This drove a huge amount of uncertainty into the beauty industry as people worried for their businesses and many turned to social media to express their feelings; but regular live masterclasses from nail technicians worldwide brought people together and simply feeling a part of a team and the reassurance of not being alone was the driving force behind the flourishment and mass growth of individual nail businesses.

During one of the most difficult times, people felt inspired; by eachother and by themselves. People had time for self development, made good decisions for themselves and for their businesses. Mental health was at the forefront of peoples minds, they cared for eachother and they cared for themselves. People turned to other local nail techs to reach out and support instead of compete, this before had been almost unheard of.

The evidence is clear and what can be achieved through community far surpasses anything that can be achieved alone. The world of nails is a beautiful place to be, and if you are in the nail industry/wish to be a part of the nail industry and have somehow found yourself here, then welcome to The Nail Tech org. Welcome home.
