Here at the Nail Tech Org we are literally obsessed with our growing community of insanely talented Nail Technicians, from all around the world. Let us introduce you to our Member of the Month for September 2022….
Hello @nails_at_the_outhouse !
Tell us a little bit about you!
Hi I’m Kelly, I work as a full time nail technician from my little salon at home ‘The Outhouse’. I have been a nail technician for a little over 2 years now and I love it! I have 2 young boys so I’m always on the go! And always looking to progress my career as well as spending time with my family!
How did you get into nails?
I started my career as a Nail tech after being made redundant in my job at the Airport after Covid hit! But I believe everything happens for a reason and I have never looked back as I have always wanted to own my own business and I love doing nails!
What’s your fave thing about The Nail Tech Org?
I joined the Nail tech Org in the second lockdown after qualifying as a nail technician, I use to watch Amy’s lives on Instagram which were so inspirational and when I saw she had just set up a community to help nail techs progress and learn, and meet other nail techs I signed up straight away!
The best decision I made! I have made so many new friends including one of my nail bestie’s Steph Watson (houseofbeauty01) who I have been chatting to for 2 years after meeting through TNTO and I finally got to meet her in person along with so many other nail tech friends at the Liverpool event!!
I had the best time!!
What’s your favourite course you’ve done with us?
I have recently completed the expert Experience course through the nail tech Org, this was a great course which boosted my confidence and knowledge about nails.
What are your favourite kind of nails to do?
My favourite nails to do are Tortoise Shell nails I love the look of them! I’m so excited for autumn as that’s when so many of my clients ask for them!!
Tell us about a holy grail product in your kit.
My holy grail in my nail kit has to be my e-file! It’s been such a time saver and gives such a lovely finish on the cuticle area, it’s also great for pedicures! I also love my unicorn dusting brush.
What was your favourite part of our recent Liverpool Event?
My favourite part of the Liverpool event was meeting my nail bestie’s! also meeting Amy as that was one of my goals since joining TNTO. The Liverpool Event gave me a completely different mindset on my business, I am now definitely more focused on what I want from my business in the future.
If you could sum up The Nail Tech Org in just 3 words, what would they be?
Friends, support, growth.
