Meet Our Member Of The Month – @lindseysbeautylounge1

Here at the Nail Tech Org we are literally obsessed with our growing community of insanely talented Nail Technicians, from all around the world. Let us introduce you to our Member of the Month for January 2023….

Hello Lindsey from @lindseysbeautylounge1!

Tell us a little bit about you!

Hi! I’m Lindsey. I’m 37 and from Halifax in West Yorkshire.

I’ve got a little boy Billy, who is 4 years old, with my fiancé, Kristian.

I have had my salon for 10 years now and love everything about my job!

How did you get into nails?

I didn’t originally start out doing nails.

I left school and went to uni (because that’s what we were supposed to do) and I studied computing. I then left uni and started working in an office doing accounts full time.

I always knew it wasn’t what I wanted to do.

So I decided, whilst on holiday one year, to enrol on a beauty therapy course. I worked during the day and went to college two evenings a week and practiced on friend and family on weekends, I loved it!

So once I qualified I quit my office job, opened my own salon local to my area, and never looked back!

What’s your fave thing about The Nail Tech Org?

Where do I start?!? Absolutely everything!

When I first started out there was nothing out there like the NTO, I had to teach myself most things that were not included in my basic gel course.

There just wasn’t the community that NTO now provides for us all.

What’s your favourite course you’ve done with us?

I’m due to start the Educator Elevation Course in January, and I’m sooo excited!

I’ve waited 12 months for this, because I knew I wanted to train with NTO.

What are your favourite kind of nails to do?

I love the minimal nail styles and just making them look pretty.

Less is always more for me.

Tell us about a holy grail product in your kit.

It’s got to be my prep tools.

My faves are Doris from Navy Pro Tools, Tokyo and The New York from The Nail Lab, and my Nails Luxe Brushes.

If you could sum up The Nail Tech Org in just 3 words, what would they be?

Inspirational, motivating and sisterhood.
