Hello Nicola from @inphills !

Tell us a little bit about you!

Hi, I’m Nicola I’m 32 from Scotland.

I have a three year old daughter and twin boys who just turned one.

I’ve been doing nails for about 7 years on and off while travelling & having babies, but I just started doing biab since going self employed.

I’ve been self employed for about three years now and love it.

I’ve worked in salons, from home and even on a couple of cruise ships doing nails but now I’m in a local make up studio.

One day I would love to have my own shop or academy so right now I’m working towards that.

How did you get into nails?

When I was traveling NZ I had to make some extra money so I started working as a receptionist in a Spa.

They saw on my CV that I had studied beauty when I was 16 and asked if I would change to a therapist. So I did, and after not doing it for 6 years it was a total fail but they did have a nail section in the spa which I loved being in, so that’s when I began doing nails as much as I could.

What’s your fave thing about The Nail Tech Org?

The people and the community.

I work on my own and if I have any challenges, I don’t have anyone in the shop to ask or connect with, so I just put them on the feed and every time someone helps or puts my mind at ease.

What’s your favourite course you’ve done with us?

I haven’t down any yet but booked on to the educator elevation starting in January and I could not think of a better way to start my new year. So excited for it!
