Hello @by_leahbispham !

Tell us a little bit about you!

I’m Leah, 32 and from Bolton. I am mum to a beautiful little girl Amelia!

I work part time as a nail tech (both home and salon based) and full time for my cousin in the construction industry.

My goal is to be a full-time nail tech and I cannot wait!

I qualified in acrylic nail extension in December 2020 and builder gel in April 2021 and it is safe to say I am now obsessed with all things nails.

I have such a passion for it and the industry!

How did you get into nails?

I stumbled across Kirsty Meakin’s Facebook page and found myself sat there for hours watching her create amazing sets, I then started to follow Nail Techs on insta and I mentioned doing a course to my Mum (my biggest supporter) and she told me go for it!

I wasn’t enjoying my job, at the time I worked for a large dental company, in their complaints team.

I had worked throughout the whole of lockdown and the job I once loved, I began to hate!

It was bringing me down and I knew then, I needed to do something about it. I did both my courses online, which suited me at the time, with working full-time.

Since qualifying I have never looked back, my only goals were to get better and to do this full-time!

What’s your fave thing about The Nail Tech Org?

Oh gosh, so much! The support from the educators and the NTO members is second to none.

I don’t think I would be where I am now, without the NTO, I just wish I had joined from the beginning of my journey.

It’s not just tutorials, it is an amazing nail tech family.

What’s your favourite course

I love the monthly business packs which are included in the Gold Membership, so so helpful!

I also love the back-to-basics prep tutorial by Amy, it was so helpful.

But I also loved Abi’s milky florals! Such a beautiful design, I’ve not yet had the chance to do it on a client yet though!

What are your favourite kind of nails to do?

Hmmm…. a builder gel set and although I do love a design which pushes me out of my comfort zone, I also love a simple but effective design.

Tell us about a holy grail product in your kit.

Most definitely Glossify Naturabuild and glossy top!
