Meet Our Member Of The Month, @lilirosenails_mcr

Here at the Nail Tech Org we are literally obsessed with our growing community of insanely talented Nail Technicians, from all around the world. Let us introduce you to our Member of the Month for September 2023….
Hello Lianne, from @lilirosenails_mcr !
Tell us a little bit about you!
My name is Lianne and I live in Manchester.
I only started doing nails in February and qualified in May this year.
I work full time at a University and I work in a salon 1-2 days a week doing nails- I decided at the grand old age of 38 that I wanted to learn something new and be more creative!
How did you get into nails?
Very randomly as it’s not something I had ever considered doing.
I had a bad spell in February where my mental health wasn’t great so I took a week off work; booked a massage and also got my nails done (and for the first time with nail art).
I was so interested in what the nail tech was doing and the artistry behind it that I decided I wanted to book onto a course.
I just practised on myself, family and friends first, and then decided I wanted to take on some clients once I was qualified and started working in a salon part time.
I’ve always been quite creative but felt I had lost my creative spark and it’s definitely back now!
What’s your fave thing about The Nail Tech Org?
It’s a one- stop shop for everything nail tech related and it’s so supportive.
I also love all the nail art tutorials; it’s really helpful as a new nail tech when you’re asked to do a design you’ve not done before.
What’s your favourite course you’ve done with us?
The Builder gel application and infill tutorials were really useful when I started doing nails.
I’m excited to try out more of the nail art tutorials- especially with Halloween coming soon!

What are your favourite kind of nails to do?
I love doing mix and match nails they are so much fun!
Mix and match nails on a nude builder gel base are *chef’s kiss*.
I also LOVE doing leopard print.
Tell us about a holy grail product in your kit.
My holy grail product would be one of my nail art brushes.
I highly recommend the Brillbrird 0 Long BUT I have just got a Glossify striping brush and it is amazing for detail work and French.
I highly recommend splurging on decent brushes- totally worth it.
If you could sum up The Nail Tech Org in just 3 words, what would they be?
Supportive, Community, Fun! I can’t wait to see what is coming next!
