Hello Carla, from @carlas_nail_creations!

Tell us a little bit about you!

Hey! My name is Carla Taylor and I’m 29 years old.

I am from Liverpool but recently relocated to Newton-Le-Willows with my hubby Kris, been married 7 years now!

I currently work part time in a nursery but I also have my little home based salon for my nail business which I absolutely love!

I qualified in 2021 so I’m still fairly new to the industry. I’ve only managed to set up my nail room over the past year and started taking on clients properly from September.

How did you get into nails?

So I created fun crazy designs on my nails since I was young and also loved art and anything creative!

My sister told me I should do nails but at the time it just wasn’t for me.

I am like a perfectionist and really fussy so I thought I could never do nails on anybody else!

Eventually I needed a new path as I was in a job I didn’t enjoy anymore, I wanted to focus my energy on something new and enjoyable outside of work.

I took the leap and opted for a nail course and built up my kit and it became my passion and wished I had listened to my sister sooner.

What’s your fave thing about The Nail Tech Org?

There are so many aspects of the NTO that are incredible.

A main one for me is the support and encouragement you get from the team and all the members.

I also love all the courses available and can honestly say I feel so much growth since I became a member!

They put so much effort into the monthly content and masterclasses and find things that help each and every one of us!

What’s your favourite course you’ve done with us?

I’ve done so many of the available courses and tutorials it’s hard choosing one but I’ve just recently completed the Expert Experience!

It was brilliant and makes you feel 100% more confident not just in practical aspects but in the knowledge and the depth it goes into!

What are your favourite kind of nails to do?

I love to try out all various nail art!

I love a good funky design.

I also love a bare natural nail that needs some TLC, I love the finished look and seeing how happy a client is by helping them along a nail journey!

Tell us about a holy grail product in your kit.

I have a few, but my main one would be my desktop efile, I have the black ePad from TheNailLab!

It’s been my favourite e-file by far I love it, it’s so nice to work with!

I also love my fine liner brush, I use it to perfect everything whether it’s builder gel or getting my gel polish flush to the cuticles!

Oh and my Kaeso Raspberry Ripple Hand cream! It’s a win with all my clients, it smells like a dream and their hands are so soft and well hydrated afterwards!
