GelsByBry – Life of a nail tech!

Hey Bryony! Thanks so much for joining us… we’ve been so excited to chat to you!

What do you love most about being in the nail industry?
Everything! I have never been an “arty” person but I feel like nails brings out my love for fashion and creative side. I love the people I’ve met along the way, from clients to other nail artists! The community and the support is incredible, I wouldn’t be where I am without it for sure.

We saw you were given the amazing opportunity to work with misguided! How was that experience?!
Absolutely incredible, definitely a “pinch me moment”! On both occasions they were collaborating with Playboy which meant my work had to be approved by both brands prior (as my work would be representing them). It was pretty scary waiting for the feedback but so overwhelming hearing they loved it. If someone had told me I would have this opportunity 18 months ago whilst I was sat in my office job I definitely wouldn’t believe them! 

If you could do someone famous’ nails.. who would it be?
My all time dream would be Beyonce! 

What is on your goal list for the rest of the year?
I think I would love to hit 100k followers on Instagram (I started the year with 20k). My goal this year though is to enjoy myself now things are starting to get back to “normal” and live my newly self employed best life doing what I want now I don’t have a boss to answer to! 

What do you like to do in your spare time aside from nails?
When I’m not pampering clients, you will find me walking my cockapoo (Fred), shopping in Zara or drinking Strawberry Daiquiris. 

If you could tell yourself as a beginner something.. what would it be?
Gosh, where do I start! That you don’t need all the colours on earth just the staples! That “prep” is the most important part! That you can achieve anything you want if you put the hard work in! I am a big believer in manifestation, so if you believe you can do it then you will achieve anything!
